Australian Labradoodles in Flyball

An Australian Labradoodle loves to run and jump! Since a fast run
over four jumps are key ingredients to flyball, an Australian
Labradoodle is well suited to excel in this sport.

Training your Labradoodle to run over the four jumps is relatively
easy. The harder job is training him to hit the box correctly, catch the
ball and turn back in an instant. Then, what may be the hardest of all
is instilling in your Labradoodle the confidence and focus to compete
in a team sport where two teams, each of four dogs, are running
simultaneously, side by side and passing the dog before and after
within inches, all this in an exceptionally noisy and frenzied venue.
The noise and frenzy is provided by the hundreds of dogs that
cannot wait for their turn in the racing lanes, it begins the moment
the first race of the day starts.

As with training for Agility and Obedience, each step of the flyball
pattern must be trained with high praise, rewards and most
importantly lots of fun.

Flyball, sometimes called "doggy drag racing," is an exhilarating
sport in which you and your Labradoodle can have a lot of fun.
