Fun With Fido

Score some paws-applause with playtime that doubles as exercise.

Run, roll, stretch, leap.  It's your pup's playful side discovering the world around him!  Daily playtime- at least 20 minutes- combined
with another 20-30 minutes of daily exercise ensures a healthy, happy Labradoodle.  Playing also creates bonding time with your
Labradoodle, and it teaches her to interact positively with people.
Remember:  A bored Labradoodle is a destructive dog.  Engage, educate, and entertain your Labradoodle with a variety of games and
toys.

Fetch and seek.  These two favorites offer creative, stimulating ways to play with your Labradoodle.  For fetch, choose an object your
pet can pick up with his mouth, such as a ball or a sticklike chew toy.  When you begin, do not throw it too far.  Seek is a classic
find-the-hidden-object game.  Is it behind your back?  Around the corner?  Start this game by hiding treats, witch have a strong smell.

Have a ball.  Labradoodles may prefer a rolling ball to start and a bouncing ball later.  Select one that is soft enough for your pal to bite,
bot not so small that the entire ball fits in his mouth.

Chew on this.  Supply a selection of chew toys to  encourage your dog to chew on his playthings instead of inappropriate objects (such
as your shoes or remote control).  If he does put a forbidden object in his mouth, clap your hands, say "Mine!" firmly, and replace the
contraband with a toy.  Squeaking toys appeal to dogs, but make sure your dog can not remove the squeaker, witch is a choking hazard.

Cuddle up.  Give your dog stuffed toys to cuddle, tote around, and mouth.  Consider removing the eyes or noses of stuffed toys, or
look for ones without extruding features (those are the first things pups usually chew off).

Corral the clutter.  Keep your Labradoodle's toys in a low, sturdy box or bin within her reach.  Rotate the selection of toys to keep
playtime interesting, but understand that some dogs favor and become attached to one particular item and snub the rest of their toys.
