I am not sure what I am going to do after these babies go home. We have been busy this past week and Glitch's babies are ready to join their families.

Another litter that I literally wanted to keep every single puppy from. I am telling you it is hard to not want to keep them all. Please let me know your puppy's name by Tuesday so that I can get their packets prepared. Order food today so that you have it when you get home with your puppy. They eat the  Turkey & Sweet potato formula of pawTree You will not find this food at the store and your puppy should eat the same food during the first year of his life while his GI system matures. pawTree's probiotics will help your puppy stay healthy during the stress of the transition. The puppies love all of the toppers too!  Please set up Baxter & Bella now! There is so much prepuppy homework to get done before you pick up your puppy. Use code NOBLE for 25% off.

Glitch's puppies think they rule the world. They have grown so much this past week and they know it. They can now play on the bigger toys (steps, platform and ramp) that our big puppies play on. They have decided that they prefer to drag around the big dog's stuffed toys too! It is really funny to watch them play with toys three times bigger than them.

They got their nails trimmed, had a bath and got the first round of their vaccines.

As the weather has gotten nicer we are spending more time outside. The puppies have been loving the fresh air. It is cute to watch them stop, put their noses up and just smell the breeze.

Glitch's puppies are doing great and sleeping in their crates of a night and eating several meals a day of the pawTree Turkey & Sweet Potato.

Glitchie's babies have gotten so big and are enjoying their new larger play space. They are working on eating softened food but still eat several meals at Glitch's Milk Bar.

They have such serious expressions!

Glitch's babies are on the move! I thought they were busy last week! They have mastered walking and are on to running! It is cute to watch them run because they are sooo tiny! They would also very much like to eat real food. I have started softening Glitch's food, the puppies are quick to take advantage when she is out to potty.

Oh my goodness oh my goodness.. Glitch's babies are on the move! They are so super sweet and love to be held. There is nothing better than super sweet puppies.

The
puppies' eyes have just opened but they still do not have full vision and won't even at 8 weeks of age.  They can tell by smell if I or someone else has walked into the room.  They are moving on their own and actually standing up and taking a few steps. This week the puppies have continued to be handled daily and received Bio-Senor feedback which helps them build healthy immune systems, improved cardio vascular performance, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease.

The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results. The first period involves a window of time that begins at the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day. It is believed that because this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual.

The "Bio Sensor" program was also concerned with early neurological stimulation in order to give the dog a superior advantage. Its development utilized six exercises, which were designed to stimulate the neurological system. Each workout involved handling puppies once each day. The workouts required handling them one at a time while performing a series of five exercises. Listed in nor order of preference the handler starts with one put and stimulates it using each of the five exercises. The handler completes the series from beginning to end before starting with the next pup. The handling of each pup once per day involves the following exercises:

1. Tactile stimulation - holding the pup in one hand, the handler gently stimulates (tickles) the pup between the toes on any one foot using a Q-tip. It is not necessary to see that the pup is feeling the tickle. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds.

2. Head held erect - using both hands, the pup is held perpendicular to the ground, (straight up), so that its head is directly above its tail. This is an upwards position. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds

3. Head pointed down - holding the pup firmly with both hands the head is reversed and is pointed downward so that it is pointing towards the ground. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds

4. Supine position - hold the pup so that its back is resting in the palm of both hands with its muzzle facing the ceiling. The pup while on its back is allowed to sleep struggle. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds.

5. Thermal stimulation - use a damp towel that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at least five minutes. Place the pup on the towel, feet down. Do not restrain it from moving. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds.

Pregnancy Calendar

Dam: Glitch

Sire: Walker

Date Of Live Breeding or Ovulation: 1/24/2020

Friday, January 24, 2020 First day of mating.

48 hours after the first mating the bitch should be mated again. Subsequent matings occurring over a period of time enhance the chances of fertilization taking place.

The spermatozoa migrate up through the cervix.

Sperm travel searching for a mature ripened eggs.

Sunday, January 26, 2020 Spermatozoa reach the eggs in the oviducts.

Monday, January 27, 2020 Fertilization occurs in the oviducts which lead from the ovaries to the uterus.

Wednesday, January 29, 2020 Fertilized eggs migrate down the oviducts and into the uterine horns.

The migration continue to enable even spacing of the embryos.

During this migration the eggs will grow into a blastocystes.

Tuesday, February 04, 2020 The blastocystes implant in the wall of the uterus.

Friday, February 07, 2020 The blastocystes will grow into an embryos.

During the next two weeks the important organs will develop.

Wednesday, February 12, 2020 Dams nipples begin to pink enlarge.

The fur on the dams belly and around the nipples may become thinner.

Monday, February 17, 2020 Morning sickness might occur due to hormonal changes or stretching and distension of the uterus. Dam may appear a bit apathetic. She may be off her feed for a while and vomit from time to time.

Feeding the dam several meals spaced throughout the day might help.

Your veterinarian may want to prescribe a drug to relax the uterus.

Friday, February 21, 2020 An experienced person (a breeder or a veterinarian) can tell by careful palpation whether the dam is pregnant.

It's now the best time to do this because the embryos are walnut-sized now and easy to count.

Saturday, February 22, 2020 Start to increase the dams food ration.

Don't overfeed, excessive weight gain should be avoided.

The foetuses are now and are fully developed miniature dogs.

Friday, February 28, 2020 The Dams abdomen starts to get larger.

Monday, March 09, 2020 It's very easy now to feel the puppies, counting them might be a bit more difficult.

Friday, March 13, 2020 Dam begins to spend a lot more time in self-grooming.

Her breasts become even more swollen.

She may become a bit restlessness and begin to search for a suitable place to have her puppies.

Saturday, March 14, 2020 The dam might lose her appetite during this period. Her abdomen can be crowded with puppies.

It is better to feed several smaller meals spaced throughout the day.

You can easily detect abdominal movement now.

Monday, March 23, 2020 Nipples and vulva should be gently cleaned with warm water, you might want to trim the hairs surrounding the nipples, to allow easier access for the puppies to suck.

Tuesday, March 24, 2020 Milky fluid may be expressed from the nipples.

Wednesday, March 25, 2020 You might want to start taking the dams rectal temperature each morning and evening.

Saturday, March 28, 2020 Twelve to 24 hours before she is due to deliver, the dams rectal temperature may drop from 101 to 98 degrees.

Clear discharge from the vulva might occur.

Sunday, March 29, 2020 Expected date of whelp. Of course this is just an average. Whelping may take place from the 59th to the 65th day. Puppies born before the 58th day will probably be too young to survive.
