Weekly Pupdates

At almost six weeks old, Dandy’s puppies are taking their first steps toward independence... Join their adventures as they explore, play, and learn!

40 Days Old | September 28th
The leap from five to six weeks old is one of the most exciting. The once wobbly explorers are now bounding across their play space, chasing toys and sometimes each other.. with endless enthusiasm!
Play becomes purposeful. Tugging, chasing, and wrestling are lessons in social communication and coordination. Confidence grows with every tumble. Outdoor adventures continue this week. Grass under their paws, rustling leaves, and the sounds of nature are all opportunities for sensory growth. These experiences help create adaptable dogs ready for any environment.

PawTree Turkey & Sweet Potato formula is a regular part of their diet, with nursing decreasing naturally as mom begins to wean them. Every full belly, playful romp, and cuddle session contributes to their thriving development.
✨ Continued crate training and simple problem-solving games will give the puppies new challenges to tackle.

32 Days Old | September 20th
A quick note- This week we will be doing a live video on Facebook vs the weekly photo. Come watch the puppies play!
Just like that, Dandy’s Australian Labradoodle puppies are a month old and what a difference a week makes. The quiet nest of newborns has transformed into a lively playpen of wagging tails, tiny barks, and endless curiosity. Personalities are beginning to shine through: the bold ones lead the charge into new spaces, while the thoughtful ones pause to take it all in before joining the fun.
At this age, the puppies are practicing some of the most important lessons of their young lives. Wrestling with siblings teaches bite control and body language. Following their mom models patience and respect. Even the frustration of not getting what they want right away builds resilience skills that no amount of human handling could ever replace.
Their diet is also evolving. While they still nurse, the puppies are now eagerly lapping up meals of PawTree’s Turkey & Sweet Potato formula. Watching them dive into their food, paws sometimes in the bowl and faces covered in milk soaked food, is a mix of comedy and milestone,  a clear sign they are growing into independent little dogs.
Their play is louder now, their steps quicker, and their world larger. Every sound, surface, and toy becomes an adventure. These moments of exploration are the foundation of confident, well-socialized Australian Labradoodle companions in the making.
✨ Next week, the adventures get even bigger as the puppies learn to explore beyond their pen and discover the joy of outdoor play.

24 Days Old | September 12th

The growth that happens between three and four weeks of age in Australian Labradoodle puppies is nothing short of amazing. Just days ago, Dandy’s babies were wobbling around, and now they’re beginning to show their first sparks of personality. Their curiosity is blooming, they’re noticing each other, starting to mouth and paw, and even giving their first clumsy play bows. Every wag, tumble, and tiny bark is a sign of healthy progress.

This is also the age when many breeders begin separating puppies from their mom, but keeping the dam with her litter is crucial. The momma teaches lessons no human can replicate- bite inhibition, social boundaries, and even how to handle frustration. These early skills build the foundation for balanced, well-mannered companions.

Alongside nursing, the puppies are beginning to taste their very first meals of PawTree’s Turkey & Sweet Potato formula that we have softened with goats milk. They’re still messy and clumsy eaters, but these first bites are an important step toward weaning and independence.

Their world is expanding, too. The litter is using their potty station more consistently, and their interactions with toys are becoming more intentional. Paws batting, noses nudging, ears perking at the little sounds the toys make. These small experiences may look simple, but they’re shaping confidence, curiosity, and resilience.

Every day brings new discoveries, and every milestone adds another layer to the story of well-socialized puppies from Noble Vestal Labradoodles.  These well adjusted Australian Labradoodles are growing into their future roles as loyal family companions.

18 Days Old | September 6th Did you know that the first few weeks of an Australian Labradoodle puppy’s life shape everything from confidence to social skills?
One of the most rewarding parts of raising Australian Labradoodle puppies is watching their development unfold day by day. At just under three weeks old, they’re beginning to reach some of the earliest puppy development milestones. These moments are not only adorable but scientifically important for setting the foundation of confident, well-adjusted Labradoodle puppies.
At this stage, environment matters. Puppies need age-appropriate surroundings that change as they grow, too early can cause unnecessary stress, but too late means missing critical windows for learning and imprinting. Proper handling, a clean potty station, and early exposure to new sights and sounds all play a role in healthy socialization. It’s easy to spot when a puppy hasn’t had this kind of start.
That’s why we’ve already moved Dandy’s litter into a larger pen with their very first potty area and a few toys. The babies have already started using their potty station! While they’re not quite playing yet, it’s fascinating to watch them explore textures and react to the little noises the toys make when touched. These small steps are the building blocks of curiosity, confidence, and resilience.

11 Days Old | August 30th
The puppies are just shy of two weeks old. Their eyes have not yet opened. When they do open later this week they will not have full vision and won't even at 8 weeks of age. The puppies can tell by smell if I or someone else has walked into the room. They are strong and are moving on their own. They will begin to stand and take their first steps later this week.  This week the puppies have continued to be handled daily and received Bio-Senor feedback which helps them build healthy immune systems, improved cardiovascular performance, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease. The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results. The first period involves a window of time that begins on the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day. It is believed that because this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual. The "Bio Sensor" program was also concerned with early neurological stimulation in order to give the dog a superior advantage. Its development utilized six exercises, which were designed to stimulate the neurological system. Each workout involved handling puppies once each day. The workouts required handling them one at a time while performing a series of five exercises. Listed in nor order of preference the handler starts with one put and stimulates it using each of the five exercises. The handler completes the series from beginning to end before starting with the next pup. The handling of each pup once per day involves the following exercises:
1. Tactile stimulation - Holding the pup in one hand, the handler gently stimulates (tickles) the pup between the toes on any one foot using a Q-tip. It is not necessary to see that the pup is feeling the tickle. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds.
2. Head held erect - Using both hands, the pup is held perpendicular to the ground, (straight up), so that its head is directly above its tail. This is an upwards position. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds
3. Head pointed down - Holding the pup firmly with both hands the head is reversed and is pointed downward so that it is pointing towards the ground. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds
4. Supine position - Hold the pup so that its back is resting in the palm of both hands with its muzzle facing the ceiling. The pup while on its back is allowed to sleep struggle. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds.
5. Thermal stimulation - Use a damp towel that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at least five minutes. Place the pup on the towel, feet down. Do not restrain it from moving. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds.

Our newest litter has arrived! Just as Tuesday evening was winding down and appeared to be a quiet evening in the Vestal house Dandy decided she could wait no longer. And who could possibly blame her. She in normal fashion was as big as a house (if you know her house name, you know). We welcomed nine chunky puppies into the world. Dandy is doing wonderfully, and the babies are thriving.

This sweet litter is filled with gorgeous shades of red, each puppy carrying just a touch of white. Among them is one roan puppy, which begins mostly white and will develop a soft, marbled pattern as the coat matures.
As always, puppies are not assigned by gender or color, so families should be ready to welcome whichever little one is meant to be theirs. All six arrived safely, are strong and healthy, and Dandy is proving to be a devoted, loving mom.
Puppy photos will be coming soon, and we can’t wait to share their little faces with you.
